The stock market broke a record again BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul increased to 1.336.85 points by gaining 1.20 percent in the first half of the day, bringing the highest level it has seen to 1.340.24 points.
Continuing its upward trend in the first half of the day under the leadership of transportation and bank shares, BIST 100 index reached its all-time high with 1,340.24 points. While the index stabilized at the level of 1,336.85, with an increase of 15.87 points compared to the previous closing as of 13:00, the total trading volume was realized at the level of 18 billion liras.
In the first half, the banking index gained 1.74 percent and the holding index gained 0.67 percent. Among the industry indices, transportation was the most profitable with 3.88 percent, and the only decline was forest, paper and printing with 0.26 percent.
Analysts stated that the European stock markets followed a sellers, albeit limited course, and that domestic markets diverged positively with the recent market-friendly steps and positive reports of international financial institutions on Turkish lira assets.
Today, analysts stated that the intensive data agenda, especially the growth in the USA, and the minutes of the US Federal Reserve meeting will be followed, and that the levels of 1.340 and 1.360 in the BIST 100 index are in the position of resistance and 1.290 points in the support position.
