Karaman Governor Mehmet Alpaslan Işık participated in the 2021 disaster school year program organized by the Provincial Directorate of Disaster and Emergency, and the certificate of appreciation for village and neighborhood headmen for their successful work during the pandemic process. / p>

Governor Mehmet Alpaslan Işık, who made a speech at the meeting held in accordance with social distance rules, said, “Today, our world and especially our country are exposed to disasters more often. These disasters are sometimes caused by natural events, sometimes technological and sometimes meteorological changes. It is even possible to define the last pandemic as a disaster event. In the last year, we experienced two major earthquakes, dozens of natural disasters such as floods and landslides. Again, in a disaster like drought, it has become a threat to the whole world as a result of climate change. Here it is possible to prevent some of these disasters and to minimize the effects and damage of others. In addition to the technical measures to be taken against these disasters, it can be thanks to the awareness of all segments of the society about disasters and to strengthen the awareness with continuous training activities. In order to raise awareness, 2019 was declared by the Ministry of Internal Affairs as the "Preparation for Disasters Year".
