Technopark Executive Board meeting was held at Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University (KMU).

Governor Mehmet Alpaslan Işık stated that they came together to discuss a very important issue for Karaman and that he believes that the Karaman Technopark will serve the university-industry cooperation more from now on. Dr. Mehmet Akgül said, "Technology Development Zone and Executive Inc., which are among the priority targets by our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, should take a leading role in research and development activities and regional development in accordance with their founding objectives. We did not hesitate to take the necessary steps to gain more functionality and to strengthen university-industry cooperation.First of all, we have gathered here today to increase the share of our university in Karaman Technopark and to accelerate the construction process by overcoming the financing problem of the Technopark. He says, I wish the new era of Karaman Technopark will be beneficial. " said.
Karaman Mayor Savaş Kalaycı stated that the momentum that Karaman Technopark will gain in the new period is exciting, while Karaman Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Mustafa Gökhan Alkan said that the university should take responsibility for such an important issue for Karaman and be a pioneer in the steps to be taken. Stating that his role is admirable, he thanked Rector Akgül and his team. Speaking at the meeting, OIZ Representative Mustafa Akın expressed his gratitude by emphasizing that Karaman Technopark has entered a new era.
The agenda of the meeting was the resolution of the resource problem of the Technology Development Zone and Executive Inc. and the decision to transfer 52% of it to the university.
At the meeting, Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University accepted the proposal of the Organized Industrial Zone Directorate for the transfer of shares in order to strengthen the university-industry cooperation and to ensure the completion and operation of the Technology Development Zone building.
Thus, KMU's share in Teknopark increased. With the transfer of shares, 156 of the total number of shares of Teknopark, which was 305, were transferred to KMU and the university gained a great say in Karaman Technopark with 52.131%. The meeting ended with the hope that the new period will lead to beneficial and successful works.
