Within the scope of the project, for which 85 thousand TL was allocated by the agency, it is aimed to prepare a feasibility report for the Marble Processing Facility planned to be established in Karaman.
Expressing his views on the project after the signatures, MEVKA Secretary General İhsan Bostancı said, “As the Agency, we aim to develop our region with the financial support we provide, and on the other hand, with the field research, feasibility and sector reports we have made periodically, We conduct activities to compare its development by provinces, and to measure their current situation and potentials on a sectoral basis.
We also aimed to guide our investors in this project in which the current situation, potential and investment opportunities of our province of Karaman, which is presented to our agency by the Karaman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and which is in our area of responsibility, will be discussed in detail. In our province of Karaman, it is revealed that there is a great marble potential with the studies and reports of the relevant organizations. This situation attracts the attention of investors and accordingly, investments are made to utilize the marble potential in the city. At this point, before the investments are made, making the investments by making cost-benefit analysis by evaluating factors such as the state of the marble quarry, transportation, block extraction cost, block quality ratios, geological conditions, reserve amount is of great importance.
In the feasibility report to be prepared with the support of our agency, it is necessary to establish the infrastructure for the establishment of the enterprise, to reveal the financial portrait of the investment, to make use of the opportunities provided by the state such as incentive loan and investment discount, to predict the difficulties that may be encountered during the realization, establishment and operation of the project. Issues that will guide our investors, such as the introduction, will be discussed in detail. The report also aims to provide added value to the products of marble enterprises densely located in the region and to contribute to the increase in export figures.
I wish the report prepared to shed light on the current economic situation of our region will be developed and continued in different areas in the coming periods.
Speaking afterwards, Mustafa Gökhan Alkan, President of the Karaman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said, “Karaman is one of the leading provinces of the region with agriculture, food, machinery and marble.
