In 2020, 155 thousand questions were asked to the "Alo Fatwa" line, affiliated to the Istanbul Mufti, answering the questions of citizens on religious matters. In fact, last year, questions about the economy such as the purchase and sale of bitcoin, stock exchange and bank loans, as well as aesthetic surgeries and the ruling of tattooing, pet sterilization, were raised. Another issue where citizens received help from Alo Fetva during the epidemic period was Kovid-19.
Speaking to Anadolu Agency (AA), Halime Yıldız, Deputy Mufti of Istanbul, said that the 'Alo Fetva' line continues to serve in 39 districts of Istanbul.
Stating that the Alo Fatwa line is open for 5 days during working hours on weekdays, Yıldız said, "There is variation in working hours due to the pandemic. In this context, we continue to serve with our preachers, religious services experts and our personnel who are qualified to issue fatwa between 10.00 and 16.00 hours on weekdays. . " said.
Yıldız stated that there was intensity in the line of "Alo Fatwa" in certain periods and said:
