Press Advertisement Agency will continue its activities throughout the country
While the Press Ad Agency carries out the task of mediating the publication of official advertisements and advertisements in newspapers and magazines through its branches in certain provinces, the BİK Board of Directors, authorized by the amendment to the regulation, spread the activities of the Agency to 81.
According to the statement made by the Press Advertisement Institution, the Press Advertisement Institution (BİK), which operated in three provinces, Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir during its establishment, continued its activities by increasing the number of branches to 6 in line with the needs over the years.
It was decided to open 6 branches in 2004-2008 and in 29 provinces in 2010-2015 and the number of branches reached 41. The Press Ad Agency will continue its activities in 81 provinces as of November 1, 2020.
Rıdvan Duran, General Manager of the Press Advertisements Agency, whose opinions were included in the statement, stated that the institution continues to grow with new technological developments and said, "In the last 20 years, within a certain plan and program, although the technological opportunities provided by the digital age have been used at maximum levels, Various applications, which are among the duties of our Institution and require processing on documents, have been transferred to the digital environment by making the necessary legislative arrangements based on the authority given to it, thus eliminating the notion of space, distance and time, and making it possible to carry out the undertaken public service and duty in the most effective and efficient manner. . Duran emphasized that in the third paragraph of Article 8 of the same Law No. 195 on the establishment of the institution, the General Assembly was authorized to open institutional branches in provinces other than Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir:
"Based on the authorization given by the law to our institution and benefiting from digital technologies, the Press Advertisement Institution decided to organize and continue its activities in 81 provinces across the country at the meeting of the General Assembly of our Institution in February 2020. Our Board of Directors has completed its work on 1 November 2020 and The Press Advertisement Institution has been structured throughout the country as of this date.
With the legislative regulations implemented and the applications developed by our institution, almost all of its transactions have started to be carried out electronically, our institution has started to act as an intermediary for official announcement and advertisement broadcasting by opening branches throughout the country.
