Attention to the Festival Goygoy!
I believe that the committee, which started with the instructions of the Governor Mehmet Alpaslan Işık and evaluated the projects for the "Our Dolphin and Turkish Language" year activities led by Deputy Governor Oğuz Şenlik, will come out of this business. >
The team, which forms the backbone of the
project evaluation and celebrations of the "Our Dolphin, Turkish Language" year, I think is proof that this is in competent hands. Hopefully by the end of the month, the projects will become clear and an activity calendar will emerge.
Carnival or Festival?
Turkish Language Festival and the Commemoration Ceremonies of Yunus Emre have always been discussed in Karaman. Unfortunately, there is no magic formula for an event that will be appreciated by an entire city. Karaman is not one of the participating cities in the events. I have evaluated this phenomenon in my articles in the past years and gave concrete examples.
There is a saying for weddings in Anatolia: "If the invitation comes, we will not go, if not, we will be offended." Organizations who are not familiar with the subject should not be included in the project meetings.
In addition, when it comes to Turkish Language and Yunus Emre, there are those who cannot think of anything other than a wedding convoy, which is half a century behind. Even those who dream of having a carnival or festival atmosphere are not few. The words, suggestions and gossip of these and similar goygoy players should not be given a premium.
I find it useful to get the thoughts of business people on this issue in Karaman. Our business people have supported every activity of Karaman with their financial and financial means for years. Again, they will support many projects.
My suggestion is that the project coordinator should have a private meeting with Karaman business people and get their opinions. In my opinion, the project-based suggestions of our business people will be more than their monetary support. Money often chooses the sheltered area of the mind and experience.
Do not waste the year of "Our Dolphin and the Turkish Language" with dazzling events such as fireworks. Priority should be given to permanent, long-established and sustainable projects.
The stakeholder of the Governorship of Karaman in the activities of the year "Our Dolphin and Turkish Language" is Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University. The university has rich human resources and facilities.
The University can conduct researches specific to this year. For example, the rate of knowing Turkish edict with Yunus Emre and Karamanoğlu Mehmet Bey of the students studying at various departments of the university and vocational schools can be investigated.
Academic studies can be conducted on Yunus Emre and Turkish Language perceptions of university students studying in Karaman.
The same study, with the support of academic advisors Provincial National Education
Directorate should cover primary, middle and high school students, including the city center, district and towns. The number of students who have not heard of Yunus Emre's poem and who have memorized their poems can be determined.
