10 November Commemoration of Atatürk in Ermenek
Great Leader Atatürk, the founder of our Republic, was commemorated with respect and longing in Ermenek District of Karaman, as in the whole country, on the 82nd anniversary of his migration to eternity.
The first ceremony in Ermenek for 10 November started with the Ermenek District Governorship, Garrison Command and the Municipality laying a wreath on the Atatürk Monument in the Government Square.
On 09.05, when our ancestor passed away, life in the whole district stopped and a minute of silence was observed, accompanied by sirens. With the Turkish National Anthem, the flags were lowered in half and the ceremony ended.
The program, prepared by Ermenek Fikriye and Mehmet Çakır Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School at the Ahmet Keleşoğlu Cultural Center at 09:30, continued the November 10 ceremonies with a moment of silence and a speech stating the meaning and importance of the day after reading our national anthem. The program ended after reading poems prepared by our students, video screening and then oratorio shows.
The ceremony was attended by the District Governor, District Garrison Commander, Mayor, Chief Public Prosecutor, Head of Justice Commission, District Party Heads, Department Chiefs, Heads of Institutions and Institutions, Students and Teachers.
