Does nasal spray protect from corona?
While the rapid increase in the number of coronavirus cases scares the citizens, citizens resort to various methods to protect against the corona. A nasal spray that is effective against coronavirus infection has been developed. So how many hours does nasal spray protect from corona?
While the vaccination studies against coronavirus came to an end, nasal spray was developed to protect against the epidemic from the other side. A nasal spray that is effective for up to 48 hours against coronavirus infection has been developed at the University of Birmingham, England. Developed using carrageenan, also known as a fibrous thickener derived from gellan and algae, the spray will soon be available in the UK.
University of Birmingham researchers say the spray can be particularly useful in high-risk situations such as paramedics, flight attendants or schools. "Such products will be used to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. It will not replace vital things such as wearing masks and hand washing. What this spray will do is add a second layer of protection to prevent transmission and slow down the spread of the coronavirus," Dr Moakes said.
