Merve Kızılbayrak and Gülcan Türkmen, nurses working in the Kovid-19 Emergency Service, who defeated the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19), explained the difficult process they went through in tears.

Speaking to Anadolu Agency (AA), Merve Kızılbayrak stated that she was psychologically affected by the process she faced in the seventh year of her profession and that she felt the pain of witnessing the loss of life of the patients she served as a part of her family.

Expressing that he prayed for this intense and stressful process to be left behind as soon as possible, Kızılbayrak said, "We have urgent intervention in patients, sometimes we race for minutes or even seconds. When I go home, I think of our patients. I think that those who receive treatment will be my parents and I try to do my best. " said.

Kızılbayrak stated that she also caught Kovid-19 due to being constantly intertwined with patients who were treated, and that she overcame the disease after the treatment process at home.

Stating that she could not isolate herself at home due to the care of her children aged 2 and 4, Kızılbayrak stated that she was afraid of transmitting the virus to her children.

- "Can we kiss mom?"

Explaining that he lived with a mask at home after some days of intense work despite defeating Kovid-19, Kızılbayrak said, "I overcame Kovid-19 very slowly, some effects still continue. I have two children, they wanted to be with me all the time. I never took off the mask during the day. My children ask why I am wearing a mask. Still, "Mom, can we kiss?" This situation is really difficult for a mother. " he spoke.

Kızılbayrak asked people to consider the difficult conditions of healthcare professionals and to follow the rules of mask, distance and hygiene by showing sensitivity.

- "I haven't seen my kids for two weeks"

Gülcan Türkmen, nurse in charge of the Kovid-19 Emergency Service, said that her 10-year career has gone through the most difficult psychological and physical process.

Türkmen pointed out that quarantining his colleagues due to the epidemic among healthcare personnel increased the workload, and stated that they started to experience chronic pains after long seizures.

Türkmen stated that he defeated the Kovid-19 he was caught after the treatment process at home, but the virus was also transmitted to his wife in the same service.

Explaining that his children started to stay with his grandmother when he caught Kovid-19, Turkmen was in contact with his wife despite his recovery.
