Support for the 'Zero Waste' Project from KMU The support given by Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University (KMU) to the 'Zero Waste' project within the scope of social responsibility and environmental awareness studies has been certified with a certificate.
In 2019, KMU, which started its work after the publication of the directive covering the principles of establishing and monitoring the zero waste management system of institutions and organizations and issuing a Zero Waste Certificate, fulfilled the necessary conditions in a short time and established the Zero Waste Management System. Basic Level Zero Waste Certificate was given to KMU by the Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization as a result of its studies.
KMU Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Akgül stated that the studies carried out by the university in accordance with the Zero Waste Regulation, which entered into force last year, have been successfully completed and said, “The Zero Waste project is a project that we support nationally in order to use resources more efficiently, prevent waste, collect and recycle waste separately.
As the university, we take all necessary steps to contribute to the Zero Waste project by fully fulfilling the provisions of the regulation. With the awareness of our social responsibility in this matter, we will continue our activities in order to complete the other stages of this document taken at the Basic Level. I congratulate everyone who contributed to the receipt of the document for their devoted work. " said.
