Despite the danger next to their home they continue to live
The family whose pens were damaged in the pothole that was built right next to their house in Karapınar district of Konya continue their lives here despite the danger.
4 siblings living with their families in the Reşadiye District, 10 kilometers from the district, earn their living by breeding.
Last year, a pothole with a diameter of 7 meters and a depth of 13 meters occurred on the plateau. Obruk caused damage to the corral 20 meters from the house to Mustafa Acar, one of the brothers.
The Acar family, who had to rebuild the unusable pen to another point, continues to live despite the sinkhole 20 meters from their home.
Ismail Acar, one of the brothers, told the AA correspondent that they are engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry in the village.
Expressing that some of the corrals in the pothole that formed last year in the plateau collapsed, Acar said:
"We noticed the sinkhole in the morning. When the children went out to the garden to collect tomatoes, they saw the sinkhole and ran away. They informed us. Then we came and looked, we came across a giant pit. We smelled at first. In time, its surroundings expanded. The sheep were out because it was summer. we did not lose. "
Stating that many sinkholes were formed in their environment over time, Acar said, "Living with potholes spoils our psychology. If this sinkhole lived in a place where people are, it would be a loss of life. We do not know what will happen, but we will continue to work because life continues. Even if we leave and leave, we have nothing else to do. So we continue to live here despite the sinkhole and the risk of a new sinkhole. " he spoke.
