Pointing out that Konya Plain is one of the places where the annual average rainfall is the least, Soylu said, "The amount of precipitation falling in October, November and December is far below the average for many years. Ali Gürbüz, 23, one of the farmers who spread irrigation equipment in his fields in Çumra district, told that they have not irrigated in January until today.

Stating that the cereals could not rise above the soil due to the low rainfall, Gürbüz said, "Normally, we would not go to the field until March. I do irrigation for the first time in this season. May Allah help us in the arid places, the situation is troubled. Hopefully we are waiting for the rain this week. We started irrigation 15 days ago. . " used the expressions.

Hayrettin Altun, one of the farmers, stated that the farmers were in a hurry for irrigation and said:
