Research assistant's sensitivity to nature
Research Assistant Dr. Ali Sevmiş has been collecting garbage dumped into nature for years, especially on recreation areas.
Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University (KMU) Faculty of Sports Sciences, Dr. Ali Sevmiş said that in order to raise awareness and set an example for his children, he took his private vehicle at the end of the working hours and collected the garbage that people dumped in nature at the recreation areas.
"Has been collecting garbage since high school age"
Sevmiş stated that she has been collecting garbage from nature for 9 months in Karaman and said, “I have not littered in nature for a long time. I want to educate my children on this subject and set an example. Since high school, I have not harmed nature by not littering. Because I think nature has been incredibly polluted too much. As an awareness, I first started not to litter. Then I riveted this job by cleaning the dirty places in nature. This primarily relieves me. It relieves me of taking the dirt from the soil and putting it in a garbage bag and taking it to the garbage against the pollution of many people. We need to be conscious as a society. Because there is a lot of fling. If it goes like this, be sure that we will not have 1 square meter of clean soil and 1 glass of clean water. I will continue to collect garbage as long as I live. ”
"People should not pollute nature with their garbage"
Ali Sevmiş, who asked people not to throw their garbage into nature, said, "People should not leave the garbage in nature in the picnic areas they go to have a picnic. They should not say a small piece and do not take it. For this reason, I think it is important to show maximum sensitivity for our future and the future of the world ”.
"Hundreds of bags of garbage came out of an area of 150 square meters"
Stating that he was cleaning in the recreation area in Dereköy, in the center of Karaman and still continues to do so, Sevmiş said, I only collected 150 bags of garbage from a 100 square meter forest area here. Here comes to understand this, the fact that so much garbage comes out in a small area means that we catch the maximum in pollution and that too much garbage is thrown into the nature.
