KMU Scientists Entered the "World's Most Influential Scientists List" Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University (KMU) started to make a name for itself in the international arena after the success rankings among universities in our country.
KMU Engineering Faculty Faculty Member and BİLTEM Director Assoc. Dr. Faruk Özel and Health Services Vocational School Dr. Lecturer Osman Ağar, with his scientific studies, entered the "World's Most Influential Scientists" list published by Science Direct PLOS Biology magazine.
The World's Most Influential 100 Thousand Scientists Among 7 Million Academics
The list, in which 7 million scientists who have published at least 5 articles in their field were evaluated, was created according to the information obtained from the "Scopus Summary" and "Citation Database" between 1996 and 2019. Two scientists from KMU were included in the list in which the world's most cited 100 thousand scientists were determined. Assoc. Dr. Faruk Özel, nearly 900 citations and h-index 17; Dr. Lecturer Its member, Osman Ağar, was entitled to be included in the "World's Most Influential Scientists" list with over 1,100 citations and an h-index of 21.
The "World's Most Influential Scientists List", organized under the coordination of Stanford University of the USA and published by a committee of leading scientists from both the USA and the Netherlands, is created by taking into account various scientific criteria.
