WHO IS LÜTFİ ELVAN?
Lütfi Elvan was born on March 12, 1962 in Ermenek district of Karaman. After completing his primary and secondary education in Konya, he continued his education at Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Mining. Lütfi Elvan completed his undergraduate education in 1983, and then completed his master's degree in Mining and Operations Research at Leeds University in England. Lütfi Elvan completed his second master's degree in Economics at Delaware University in the USA.
Lütfi Elvan, who worked as an engineer in the Operations Research Group at Etibank in 1987, pioneered the dissemination of computer-aided mining applications in Etibank. In 1989, he started to work in the State Planning Organization. Lütfi Elvan, who worked here as an assistant specialist until 1996, was appointed to the General Directorate of Regional Development and Structural Adjustment as the Head of the Priority Regions Department in 1996 and continued this duty until 2002. He resigned from his post of Deputy Undersecretary, which he started in 2002, in July 2007 to start his political career.
Lütfi Elvan, who entered politics by joining the AK Party, entered the TBMM in the 2007 elections as the deputy of Karaman. At that time, the AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdogan's chief adviser position serving as Lutfi Elvan, Turkey-European Union Joint Parliamentary Committee, and was elected to the Presidency of the EU.
Lütfi Elvan, who entered the parliament once again in the 2011 elections, this time served as the President of the Plan and Budget Committee.
