Karaman Governorship made a statement for the meeting
After Karaman Deputy İsmail Atakan Ünver's press statement that he was not invited to the scheduled meeting on Yunus Emre and the Turkish Year Events on February 5th, he published a written statement at the Governorship of Karaman.
The statement published on the official website of the Governorship of Karaman included the following statements:
"Our deputy, İsmail Atakan ÜNVER had to make a statement regarding the press release stating that they were not invited to the meeting on Yunus Emre and the Turkish Year Events on February 5th.
To protect Yunus from our strong claim that Yunus Emre is from Karaman, about 4 months ago, upon the UNESCO's designation of 2021 as the year of commemoration of Yunus Emre and the Presidential Circular and the campaign to make Turkish a World Language, and at the same time, we have started our work in order to promote our city by bringing Turkish to the fore in the activities to be held in our city, which is the capital of the Turkish Language.
In this context, our first meeting was held in November under my chairmanship. Karaman Municipality, Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University, Mevlana Development Agency, institutional chiefs and NGOs attended this meeting.
In the second meeting held after this meeting, the projects and activities planned to be carried out by the sub-committee, Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University lecturer Dr. Presented by Ahmet Hakan YILMAZ, the sub-committee has held more than 10 meetings so far.
Our projects are at the idea stage and in a process where the opinions and suggestions of institutions and NGOs are received, in the Governorate visit made by our 2 dear deputies in our province, the projects planned to be made upon opening the subject were mentioned and they were asked to hold a meeting about these projects.
Our projects were presented to our deputies with a narrow meeting consisting of the authorities of the institutions that will carry out these projects, the Mayor of Karaman, the Vice Rector of Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University, the President of the Karaman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the relevant department chiefs, and their suggestions about the projects to be made were received.
As a result, the meeting held on February 5th is not the first meeting. It is not the last meeting we will hold with broad participation. It is an information meeting held at the request of our esteemed representatives.
The first button is not buttoned incorrectly. The suspicion that the rulers of Karaman did not have an understanding of using the civil common mind is also in vain.
As a manager who embraces everyone, who is impartial and does not compromise on the representation of the state, I do not accept the claim that I am discriminating or inviting me to behave in this way.
If our deputies want to get information about the projects we intend to present to the opinions and suggestions of our people and contribute to the projects like our 2 other deputies, t
