Kazım Karabekir was one of the five boys of Ottoman Army officers Mehmet Emin Pasha and Havva Hanim, originally from Karaman's Karabekir district, on 23 July 1882, in Istanbul Kocamustafapaşa. came into the world. He took part in the establishment of the first centers of the Union and Progress Associations in Karabekir, Manastır and Istanbul. After the Second Constitutional Monarchy, he was appointed as the Chief of Staff of the 3rd Infantry Division in Edirne in 1908.
