Kağnıcı: Göktepe and Güneyyurt were deliberately excluded from funding Republican People's Party Karaman Provincial Chairman Mustafa Cem Kağnıcı made a written press statement about the allowances made to municipalities.
Kağnıcı used the following expressions in his statement:
“On Friday, January 23, we followed the news of the appropriation good news for Karaman in our local media. On behalf of the people of Karaman, I would like to thank Karaman AKP Deputies for the additional allowances they provide to the municipalities, which are the Alliance of the Republic. Our province has 5 towns in total, but when we look at the municipalities in the news, it is stated that 500 thousand TL will be given to our towns of Sudurağı, Kazancı and Akçaşehir to eliminate environmental pollution. Göktepe and Güneyyurt districts are not included in this assistance. Some of the municipalities of the Alliance of the Republic have been deliberately excluded from these allowances. We seek intent. The government continues its so-called services with the understanding that I will punish those who are not from me in doing what suits it. I would like to remind them that they punished the people of Göktepe, not the Göktepe Municipality with this done.
We are also curious about the fate of the Sarıveliler-Başyayla-Göktepe solid waste collection station, which was designed years ago but still not realized, it is an important project in order to prevent "environmental pollution" in the region, why not work for it.
The people of Karaman and Göktepe are of course aware of what has been done. These types of practices are not only in practices specific to our Göktepe Town. The government wants to make the Turkish nation pay for its failure in local elections. What happened to the Nation Alliance and opposition municipalities is also followed by our people. Despite everything, the Nation Alliance municipalities continue their services. In spite of all the negativities in Göktepe Mayor Mustafa Doğan, Göktepe provides the best service to our fellow citizens. He provided employment by bringing a textile workshop to Göktepe and took an important step for young people to stay in our town. He pioneered the establishment of a women's cooperative and presented the natural products produced by the people of the region to our nation with the brand Göktepe Doğal. It gains the appreciation of the nation by producing projects other than daily services.
Unfortunately, the government has not abandoned its motto of persecution of those who are not my own since 2002. After the last local elections, our metropolitan municipalities with the Republican People's Party provide equal service to all districts, regardless of which party they voted for, with the understanding of social municipalism. For example, our neighbor Mut Municipality is managed by the mayor of the MHP, which is in the People's alliance. However, our Mersin Metropolitan Municipality provides equal service to our Mut district. All of our fellow citizens will receive equal service under the Republican People's Party. The results of the ballot box should be respected, and services should be carried out not according to which party our citizens vote, but without forgetting that they are the children of this country. I hope that the ruling cadres can serve our nation by ending such practices, otherwise our nation will respond democratically at the ballot box. The owner of this country is not the government but the Turkish nation. Yours sincerely. ”
