Karaman and Kütahya became "sister cities" Sister City Kütahya Mayor Prof. Dr. Alim Işık visited the Municipality of Karaman and the municipal council meeting held yesterday (Friday, November 6).
Following the "Sister City" protocol that took place at the Kütahya Municipality Assembly Hall on 06 March 2020, Kütahya and Karaman became sister cities. Karaman Mayor Savaş Kalaycı and municipal council members also participated in the protocol held in Kütahya.
Mayor of Kütahya Işık and Kütahya Municipality Council Members, who visited our city yesterday, were hosted by Mayor Kalaycı. Kalaycı, who first hosted his visitors in the municipality office, expressed his great pleasure to see the Kütahya delegation in Karaman and presented various gifts in memory of the day.
Mayor Işık Joins Municipal Council
After the visit in the Municipality, Mayor Işık and his delegation attended the November Ordinary Assembly Meeting held at the Lütfi Elvan Fair and Congress Center.
After the opening speeches of the Assembly, Mayor Savaş Kalaycı invited Mayor Işık to the podium to make his speeches. In his speech, Mayor Işık expressed his pleasure for being in the sister city of Karaman and thanked the Mayor Savaş Kalaycı and the members of the council, who hosted him.
After the council meeting, Mayor Savaş Kalaycı and city council members hosted the guests from Kütahya in the Historical Tartan Mansion. After the dinner prepared for Karaman, the night ended with the folk songs sung by Aşık Onguni from Karaman.
