Critical warning: the rate of transmission of the virus has increased even more
Scientific Committee member Assoc. Dr. Afşin Emre Kayıpmaz said, 'The transmission rate of the virus has increased even more compared to the first times. Unfortunately, there is no decrease in the lethal power of the disease yet.
The author of Freedom Hande Firat, a new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) regarding the course of the epidemic in Turkey Science Committee Prof. Dr. Afşin spoke with Emre Kayıpmaz.
Fırat stated the following in his article in Kayıpmaz's comments:
"Very big wave, tsunami, worse than the first wave. The measures taken are inadequate, a complete closure is required ... The warnings and cries we have heard for the last few days. Why did the government not take more radical measures? Are radical measures on the table? What is the next process? We will look at the answers to these questions about the Kovid-19 outbreak.
First of all, the virus is now transmitting faster. However, it was not desired and did not lose anything from its strength or damage. This is bad news for all of us. On the other hand, the measures taken in every country cause problems in the economic field. States are trying to implement measures at the rate of their own powers. In other words, the economy affects the measures. So is there a big wave in the disease? Scientific Committee member Assoc. Dr. I asked Afşin Emre Kayıpmaz:
'Symptoms of a great wave in the disease began to appear around the world. Countries also made closure and restriction decisions to reduce the burden on their health capacity. No country's health capacity is unlimited in the world. Considering that the treatment of Kovid-19 patients can also take days in intensive care units, it can be estimated how heavy this burden is. Instead of criticizing and finding the measures and decisions inadequate each time, we need to prioritize how we can better comply with the measures.
Before the restriction decisions begin, people still socialize in closed environments with the thought of "one last time", forgetting the physical distance, and it hurts us the most as healthcare professionals. For the last 8 months, there are not only Kovid-19 patients in our emergency services. The treatment of many of our patients such as heart attacks, traffic accidents, falls from heights, strokes, respiratory distress and child trauma continues in our emergency services.
'14-DAY FULL COVERAGE WILL LIGHTEN THE PRESSURE ON THE HEALTH SYSTEM'
It is necessary to fully comply with the measures taken today and pay attention to individual protection. Afşin Hoca said that if this is not achieved, different options will be on the table:
'If we can contribute enough to the measures taken now with individual measures, we can continue our lives in winter without any additional closure. Of course, 14 or 21 day full shutdown will relieve the pressure on the healthcare system. However, in its implementation, various problems arise in many areas other than health. The transmission rate of the virus has increased even more compared to the first times. Unfortunately, there is no decrease in the lethal power of the disease yet. The increase in the number of seriously ill patients is the biggest sign of this. '' '
