President Erdoğan, "50 million doses of vaccine will come to our country"
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, “There is a vaccine shortage in the most developed countries of the world right now. On the other hand, with the steps we have taken on vaccination, we have started to have our vaccines taken for a long time with the payment we made, and I hope 50 million doses of vaccine will come to our country in the first place and we have started the vaccination rapidly. He said that as a country, we managed to leave behind a process in which heartbreaking scenes were seen even from the most prosperous countries of the world with the least amount of trouble.
Speaking at the ceremony where 193 young people, 2 thousand 140 disabled people, 370 martyrs, veterans and relatives of veterans were appointed to various public institutions, President Erdoğan said, “In our tradition, the state is the nobody of the homeless as well as many other qualities. "It is our duty to take care of our children who lost their families due to death or various reasons, and to be a maternity father to them."
"We have placed nearly 7 thousand children in public in just 2.5 years"
Stating that when they came to the government, children under the protection of the state were housed in the form of a fish hoard in the dormitories where hundreds of people stayed together, President Erdoğan said: “Unfortunately, our children who lack the climate in which they can adapt to society could neither receive proper education nor have a profession in this environment. We have completely changed the upbringing model of our children under state protection in cooperation with NGOs. Instead of accommodating our children in very large dormitories as a dormitory, we switched to house arrangement. By opening these houses in the neighborhoods, we tried to ensure that our children attend the same school with the children of other families, play in the same street, and breathe the same atmosphere. To date, we have created 11 thousand children's home sites, 193 children's homes, 65 child support centers. We have given special training to our personnel who will work here. We are currently caring for our 13,524 children in these homes that we have prepared as close to the family environment. More importantly, by supporting families, we enabled our children to live with their mothers, fathers or relatives as much as possible. With the support we have provided in this framework over the past 18 years, we have ensured that nearly 652 thousand children continue their lives alongside their families. The amount of support we have provided for this purpose, 86 percent of which is directly to mothers, in the last 8 years alone, is 6.9 billion Turkish lira.
Expressing that another practice they have paid attention to and are trying to develop recently is the foster family system, Erdogan said, “Currently, our 7,864 children continue their lives alongside their foster families who are precisely identified and strictly supervised. Moreover, 795 of them are children with special needs. I would also like to express my gratitude to the families who adopted orphans. Public employment of children under state protection has been continuing since 1988. In 2014, we facilitated the work of these children by transforming their public employment into central placement. In addition, according to the education level of employment,
