Tonsil surgeries, which have been applied for centuries to eliminate the negative effects on the heart, joints and kidneys from the body after recurrent tonsil infections, are more easily solved with today's technological facilities.
Many families have questions and concerns after tonsillectomy and they are rightly afraid of surgery. It is easier to address these concerns nowadays. It is also possible to shrink the tonsils without buying them.
Children with very large tonsils have difficulty in breathing at night and they are clogged. Because they breathe through the mouth, the size of the tonsils becomes larger and thus the blockage increases further, this situation needs to be intervened.
With the evaporation method, it is an important advantage to relieve the airway by reducing the tonsils without removing them. With this method, our children sleep more comfortably and the concerns of the families are eliminated.
However, in the presence of frequent throat infections, shrinking may not be the solution. In such a case, Thermal Welding method comes to our rescue. In this method, a fast recovery process is provided with less pain without bleeding.
It is possible to perform tonsil surgeries together with adenoid, ear fluid collection, circumcision, etc. Therefore, our children do not have to be anesthetized twice. Tonsil infection once a month or tonsillitis 4-5 times a year require surgery. Surgery is definitely recommended in the presence of Pafa syndrome seen in the mouth with forgiveness that does not respond to antibiotic treatment due to weakness in the immune system. Surgery is the best option for children diagnosed with Pafa to prevent unnecessary use of cortisone and antibiotics. Special diet is recommended for 1 week after tonsil and adenoid surgeries, liquid cold soft foods are recommended. After 1 week and 10 days, school and normal life are usually returned.
Long-term studies show that there is no negative effect on the body after tonsil surgery.
