The filling set in Akgöl reeds was destroyed for the second time
The filling set built by DSI in Akgöl reeds near the Ambar Village of Ayrancı district of Karaman in order to prevent the water from drying by retaining the water was destroyed for the second time.
Located between the most important wetlands in Turkey, Akgol reeds in the attached barn Village of Botanica district, the filling sets built in 2013 to hold the water, caused the reaction of citizens to be destroyed by construction equipment.
It was observed that the set was destroyed by a construction machine and its water holding capability was completely destroyed.
It is expected that the demolished embankment in the reeds, which has been taken under protection by the Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs, will be repaired as it dries out in summer due to drought and uncontrolled use of water.

Tamer Gümüş, a member of the Anatolian Photography and Cinema Amateurs Association, said in a statement to the AA correspondent that she was saddened to witness the destruction of the filling set built to save Akgöl, who was in danger of drying out.
Expressing that they learned from the villagers around that the set was destroyed about 3 days ago, Gümüş said:
"I am in sorrow. We saw that this set, which was built by DSI about 8 years ago to keep Akgöl water more and longer and to keep the natural life alive, was deliberately destroyed by people. and the water that needs to accumulate in the lake basin is poured into the reed area on the side. . "
