Ünver: There is no discrimination about Yunus Emre and Turkish, it should not be!
CHP Karaman Deputy İsmail Atakan Ünver made a statement regarding the "Yunus Emre and the Year of Turkish" meeting held at the Governorship of Karaman.
Unver stated the following in his written statement:
"Since it is the 700th year of his death, the year 2021 has been declared as the" Year of Commemoration of Yunus Emre "by UNESCO. In addition, with the circular published in the Official Gazette dated January 30, 2021, this year is named" Yunus Emre and Turkish Year "in our country. In Karaman, on February 5, a meeting was held in Karaman, under the chairmanship of the Governor of Karaman, where the activities planned to be held in this framework were discussed. In addition, my two counterparts from the AK Party who have a political identity, Karaman Deputies and the mayor of Karaman from the MHP participated.
The fact that I have not been invited to such a meeting, which is important for our Karaman and all the people of Karaman from all walks of life, as the elected representative of the province and as a deputy, gave the impression that the planned works will remain limited to a narrow staff and within the framework of the imagination of the minds who think the same. It is certain and should not be forgotten that those who represent the state must respect the national will indiscriminately under all conditions and conditions.
Starting from the point that Karaman is the first city that comes to mind when it comes to Turkish and Yunus Emre, and it should be, it is of great importance for our Karaman to ensure that the center of the campaign is also Karaman. However, I do not think that this can be done by discriminating politically, excluding certain segments, looking at the events from a single point of view and acting only with the public mind. If we can mobilize our Karaman altogether and determine an attitude that everyone can internalize by using the common public and civil wisdom, we can do this. However, the attitude of those who ruled Karaman and those who lived on the water in this regard raised serious suspicions that they were not in this understanding. It should be known that if the first button is buttoned incorrectly, the next buttons are also buttoned incorrectly. In this context, with the meeting on February 5th, the first button was buttoned incorrectly ...
Just at the beginning of the road, I invite the Governor of our Province, Mr. Işık, to take an attitude in such a way that everyone and every segment of the society can participate in the work and contribute to this issue, which concerns all of Karaman and everybody of Karaman shows special sensitivity. Yunus Emre and Turkish are our sensitivity; there is no discrimination in this regard, it should not be!
Apparently, no one has listened or understood what Yunus Emre, whose name is being protected, said. Then let me explain once with a few lines that I quoted from different poems:
Let's meet, let's make it easy,
Let's love and be loved, the world is left to nobody!
